King Wada

King Wada (龍王ワダツミ, Ryuu-ou Wadatsumi, "Dragon-King Wadatsumi") is the King of the Dragonians and husband of Otohime.

As Amaterasu and Issun leave the body of the Water Dragon with the Dragon Orb, they are greeted by the spirit of King Wada. He explains that through a ritual, and the aid of the Dragon Orb, he became the Water Dragon in order to fend off the dark forces attacking the Dragon Palace. He also swallowed the Fox Rods, the power source of the Dark Lord, to force his enemy into retreat. However, he suffered greatly from the battle and went insane, taking many innocent lives. njnng chased by the shadowy figure of Ninetails.

Afterwards, it is revealed that Otohime is pregnant with the child and successor of Wada, who is shown in the artwork after the credits in the PS2 version. (The credit sequence was removed from the Wii version of the game, but the images can still be seen in the Credit Illustrations amongst the unlockable artwork.)

In conventional legends, his full name is usually written with the kanji 海神, meaning "sea god", and can also be pronounced as Watatsumi.

Trivia

Wada appears in the same spirit realm where Ammy meets with the celestial brush gods.
